Summary:
Meet Min Woo. A normal 18 year-old high school boy.
Well...normal except for being a total otaku. He does what every good little otaku boy does. He collects figurines and toys, wins prizes at cosplay contests and is a two-time champion of the fighting game "Metal Heart".
Unfortunately for him, his social life is dominated by girls telling him to get lost, since his otaku-ness might be contagious.
But after an accident while he is invited to participate in the playtesting of "Metal Heart 2", the main character to the game, Min Sia, materializes in front of his eyes at a cosplay festival. And now, Min Woo has to win Sia's heart in a real-life dating sim game with the fate of the world in the balance. Ok, so maybe not the world, but at least the fate of the company behind "Metal Heart 2" hanging in the balance.
And who is this girl Nuri who appears following Sia, who claims to be Min Woo's childhood friend...

Summary:
It centers around the travails and battles of one Ushio Aotsuki (蒼月潮 Aotsuki Ushio), who is constantly being stalked and aided by a gigantic, supernatural and sometimes invisible tiger (Some people describe it as akin to Calvin and Hobbes on acid).
Ushio's family maintains a Shinto temple in Japan, where ~500 years ago, his samurai ancestor battled that same tiger to a standstill, and eventually trapped him against a rock using a blessed spear called the "Beast Spear", which in addition to its intrinsic formidability as a weapon, can also boost the physical powers of the user. While cleaning out the temple storage, Ushio accidentally unseals the chamber Tora was trapped in. Initially, Ushio wisely refuses to remove the spear pinning Tora (とら, Japanese for tiger) down, as Tora unwisely makes the strategic blunder of mentioning that the first thing he would do upon being freed would be to devour Ushio; but Tora's unsealed presence attracts various demons to the premises, and Ushio is forced to free Tora in exchange for his help. The series focuses on their relationship, interspersed with battles against mythological foes, and with Tora's attempts to grapple with modern life and gobble up Ushio.

Hayase Kouichi, the weak and average student is always bullied by his stronger classmates, and ends up being protected by his childhood friends Risako and Yajima, this makes him feel even worse since he realizes he is weaker than Risako, the woman he likes. But suddenly all this changes when a falling orbital drop mecha called Linebarrel misses the landing route and kills him. Then he returns to life thanks to the intervention of the alien woman Emi who was trying to land it, and he ends being the pilot of that mecha and is linked to it for the rest of his new life. Linebarrel was designed to save humanity from an approaching interdimensional war and make justice fall on Earth but with a pilot who has been resent all his life this isn’t top priority now.
